On a bright and spirited day at IIMT University, curiosity took center stage as students gathered for an event that promised not just information but transformation. The Agripreneurship Awareness Boot Camp, conducted in collaboration with the IVRI Pashu Vigyan Incubator (ICAR-IVRI) and IIMT Business Incubator Foundation, became a powerful gateway for young minds to step into the vast world of agritech, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The session was led by Mr. Saurabh Singh, Business Manager at the IVRI Pashu Vigyan Incubator. With his experience in supporting idea-stage innovators and early-stage startups, he didn’t just deliver a talk he opened a world of possibilities. Students learned how simple ideas, when nurtured well, can grow into impactful ventures in animal science, agriculture, dairy, fisheries, poultry, and allied sectors.
What made the event truly inspiring was the way it broke the stereotype that innovation belongs only to tech giants or big cities.
Instead, it reminded us that India’s next revolutionary startup could be born in a classroom, a farm, or a simple brainstorming session.
Key Highlights of the Boot Camp :
Mr. Singh introduced students to the flagship programs offered by the IVRI Incubator under RKVY-RAFTAAR, as also detailed in the official brief (IVRI):
- SAMRIDDHI (Seed Stage): Grant support up to ₹25 Lakhs for MVP-ready startups
- NAVODAYA (Pre-Seed Stage): Up to ₹5 Lakhs for idea-stage innovations
- Student Orientation Program: Up to ₹4 Lakhs for student-led projects
He also emphasized the holistic support participants receive one-month training, structured mentoring, lab access, hands-on guidance, and the chance to convert innovative ideas into real, funded ventures.
For many attendees, this was the first time they realised how accessible the startup world truly is.
