08 April 2025 | IIMT University, Meerut – The spirit of innovation came alive as Neovation 2025 brought together young changemakers, industry leaders, and tech visionaries in a powerful celebration of TechForGood. Hosted in partnership with the Nasscom Foundation, this landmark event was part of a nationwide effort to highlight the role of technology in solving real-world challenges — and IIMT University was proud to be one of the live-streaming venues for this incredible experience.
Fostering a Culture of Entrepreneurship and Innovation
As part of the celebrations, IIMT University also hosted a dedicated workshop on entrepreneurship and innovation to promote startup culture among students. Organized by the IIMT Business Incubator Foundation in collaboration with the Nasscom Foundation, the event saw enthusiastic participation from over 300 engineering students, with more than 200 students registered for submitting their own business ideas.
Mr. Tapovardhan Singh, Program Executive at Nasscom Foundation, applauded the creativity and entrepreneurial mindset of IIMT students. He commended their potential to become future business leaders and contribute meaningfully to the nation-building process. Encouraging students to take the leap into entrepreneurship, he assured them of full support, including grants and legal guidance, to help transform their ideas into real ventures.
A Star-Studded Line-Up of Thought Leaders
The larger Neovation 2025 event began with a warm welcome by Ms. Jyoti Sharma, CEO of Nasscom Foundation. A special address by Ms. Sangeeta Gupta, Sr. Vice President at Nasscom, followed by a compelling keynote from Mr. Harish Krishnan, MD & Policy Officer at Cisco India & SAARC, inspired students to think big and bold when it comes to technology for social good.
Showcasing Innovation from Across India
At the heart of Neovation 2025 were the Top 10 student startups from Cohort 7, handpicked from more than 1300 submissions. Over a rigorous 10-month period, these student teams developed tech-driven solutions tackling real problems — from deepfake detection to clean energy innovations — each demonstrating the power of purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
Learning from Alumni Success
The event was enriched with alumni success stories from Cograd (Cohort 3) and Agrichikitsa (Cohort 4). Their journeys from early-stage ideas at thingQbator to real-world impact served as inspiring case studies for aspiring entrepreneurs. Testimonials from people whose lives have been transformed by these innovations added a touching human element to the day.
Insights from Industry Stalwarts
Dignitaries like Mr. Himanshu Joshi from Atal Innovation Mission and Mr. Himanshu Sharma from Devnagri joined industry experts from Cisco for engaging discussions that brought fresh insights, actionable advice, and renewed energy to the student community.

The event concluded with Mr. Vishal Thakur, VP & CTO, Nasscom Foundation, delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks and officially launching thingQbator Cohort 8, encouraging students to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journeys.
